1. Open Access Policy

Pakistan Journal of Agriculture (PJA) is an open-access journal, meaning all content is freely available without charge to users or their institutions. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full texts of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without requiring prior permission from the publisher or author. This aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access.

2. Licensing Policy

All articles published in PJA are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under this license, users are free to:
Share – Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
Adapt – Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use.
Attribution – Proper credit must be given to the original work published in PJA, including a link to the license and an indication of any modifications made.

3. Copyright Policy

  • Authors retain full copyright of their published work.
  • Upon acceptance, authors grant PJA a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive their article.
  • Authors are free to share, distribute, and reproduce their work in any format, provided proper attribution is given to the original publication in PJA.
  • Authors may self-archive their articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, or platforms like ResearchGate, Academia.edu, and Google Scholar.
  • PJA reserves the right to maintain and archive all published content in digital repositories, indexing databases, and long-term preservation networks such as PKP Preservation Network (PN) and CLOCKSS.

4. Third-Party Content

  • Authors must ensure that any third-party content (e.g., figures, tables, or excerpts) complies with copyright regulations and that written permission has been obtained if necessary.
